Alumnus featured at NYC Event

NSU alumni from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut attended a NSU alumni networking event  on June 5th that  featured our own Alden Cass (Psy.D., 2002). Dean Grosby and John Lewis, Director of Academic Affairs of the Center for Psychological Studies attended along with other CPS alumni. The event was held at the Hilton New York at 1335 Avenue of the Americas.
Cass presented on Risky Business: Innovative Strategies for Survival in an Uncertain World. Cass's research was on the mental health of stockbrokers and he recently co-authored two books, Bullish Thinking: the Advisor’s Guide to Surviving and Thriving on Wall Street, and The Bullish Thinking Guide for Managers: How to Save Your Advisors and Grow Your Bottom Line. Alumni in attendance received copies of his books.

Cass is president of Catalyst Strategies Group, a team of psychologists and performance coaches specializing in coaching financial services executives to become more productive and disciplined during market downturns and other stressful times. Cass sits on the Board of the National Association of Investment Professionals and is a research committee member of the Financial Services Policy Institute.
